In Cambridge, within the CambridgeSide Galleria, is a station for the planet of Mars that is part of the Boston Community Solar System model.

The station is located on the 2nd floor of the mall near the southwest end. From the entrance to the Galleria at CambridgeSide Place, walk in the mall and take the next up escalator. The station is near the escalators and by a corridor that leads to Borders Bookstore.

Mars is represented as a pea-sized sphere on a pedestal.

In addition to the usual facts about Mars, such as the distance to the sun, the diameter, and how many moons it has, there are other facts in text on the arch over the planet. For instance, three dead volcanoes are each three times the height of earth's tallest mountain, Mt. Everest, and there is a chasm three times deeper than the Grand Canyon and about as long as the United States of America.
