Rural Thai universities have a sizeable number of public phones (certainly compared to Australia unis). This phone is situated outside the Buriram Rajabhat uni (WM93Y1) bookshop.
I placed a 5 baht coin (~15c) into the phone, crossed my fingers (metaphorically), dialled my mobile number, my phone rang, I then hung up and returned the call from my phone. Glad to say the public phone rang.
