This stone is from the original Changi Prison where the FEPOWs were held. Its inscription reads as follows:
'CHANGI PRISON
SINGAPORE
This block of stone was shipped to England from the now demolished "Changi Prison" wall. It was obtained for "COFEPOW" with the aid of the Singapore British High Commissioner and now stands in "remembrance" as part of the:- "FEPOW Memorial Project".
A.S. HAROLD, COFEPOW, AUGUST 2006'
The stone is just outside the Far East Prisoners of War Memorial Building.
