Marker Text: Evan A. Sather opened this two-story mercantile business and called it the Pine Tree Store because of a pine tree that grew through the front sidewalk. The upstairs was known as Sather Hall and became a popular gathering place for civic and social gatherings.

This Heritage Walk plaque was donated by Chris & Rick Wright, Laurel Francis and Sharon Morrison-Dunlevy
