Collalbo is a real hiking paradise and offers various activities for you free time.
> Altitude: 1,154 metres above sea level

Below you can find two possibilities for hikes in the hiking paradise of Renon: start off at the earth pillars and continue to the little sanctuary Maria Saal, ascend the path to the old thermal bath “Bad Siess” and return across the larch and pine forest to Collalbo. Another possibility: start at the station of Collalbo and continue on path n° 35 to Lichtenstern, proceed towards Costalovara and Lake Costalovara and return to Collalbo station on path n° 15.

Nowadays, even sportsmen know and appreciate the Renon plateau, as the ice rink of Collalbo hosts international contests such as the Speed Skating World Cup or the Ice Stick Shooting World Championship. Moreover, Collalbo boasts some 40 km of cross-country runs and the hiking and skiing area Corno del Renon with tow lifts and gondolas is within easy reach - and definitely worth seeing at every time of the year…

> By the way: Already Sigmund Freud appreciated the beauty of the Renon, where he also wrote his famous “Totem and Taboo”. Pay a visit to the commend Longomoso or make a ride with the “old” Renon funicular.
