Nice church, located to north of Houma in Bayou Blue community. The statue was dedicated to a parishioner. Very nice statue, easy to find right at front entrance to church.
St Louis IX was the King of France from 1226 to 1270. He was born in 1214 and died in 1270. He conducted 2 crusades and is often considered the model of the ideal Christian monarch. St. Louis is the patron saint of Third Order of St. Francis, France, French monarchy; hairdressers; passementiers (lacemakers).
