Quincy Market Rose - Compass Roses on Waymarking.com

Quite an innocuous rose. Satellite imagery confirms this is indeed lined up with the poles, but you wouldn't know it on the ground! Free of any of the traditional markings of a compass rose ("N", "S", "E", "W"), the only clue that this is a compass rose from the ground are the equiangular points and the non-rectangularity with respect to the surrounding buildings (as the surrounding area is not built in line with the cardinal directions).

Approximately 20 meters across, the rose lies in a pedestrian area by a walkway connecting the former Central Artery area with Quincy Market. The rose is just southeast of the central Market building, at the end of the walkway between Quincy Market and South Market.
