Spigner Cemetery is on the north side of Sorghum Mill Road, just east of Hiwassee. It's a very small, rural cemetery that is reasonably maintained. There is no sign to mark the cemetery, so just watch for it as you drive by. Many of the tombstones are handmade, most just etchings on rocks. There are some traditional headstones as well. DO NOT park on Sorghum Mill when visiting the cemetery. You will need to take the drive on the east side to the back side of the cemetery. There is a circle drive with several mailboxes and you will have no trouble finding a place to park.
There are approximately 150 marked graves here.
