Standing outside of this museum, the statue is a mere token of what lies inside. The museum has many exhibits on dinosaurs and also has a fun trio of dinosaur statues around the corner outside the museum, made of car parts.
Michael Trcic created this life-size bronze Dilophosaur in 2002. It won the Lanzendorf PaleoArt Prize for "outstanding achievement in naturalistic art in paleontology" as given by Society of Vertebrate Paleontology.
