The butterfly garden is located in the rear right of the property and is close to the sidewalk. I walked the garden which has a concrete walkway through it turning 90 degrees leading to an exit. There were perennials, and all kinds of flowers. I saw butterfly weed, purple coneflower, dill, Queen Anne's lace and some merigold and goldenrod (I think). The garden is about twenty-five square feet in size.
There was a neat little man-made waterfall and pond. There were also two dedicated trees, one to Sister Krista Mote and another to William Korach. Overall, this is a beautiful, scenic and restful place. A neat little arched, wooden trestle greets visitors. I am sure this has some type of therapeutic value for the children. Bancroft School is for children with neurological problems. It was founded by Margaret Bancroft, for whom this school is named after. It is a contributing structure for the Haddonfield NRHP district.
