Buena Vista Park was named Hill Park in 1867, and later renamed in 1894 to be Buena Vista Park. It is a 37 acre park, located on a forested hill near the Haight-Ashbury district in San Francisco. The park climbs from 300 feet on the northern Haight Street boundary up to 575 feet at the top, where there is a small grassy plaza. There are hiking walking paths criss-crossing the park hillsides. There are two tennis courts within the park. There is street parking around the park and there are multiple entrances into the park.
