[PT]Estádio D. Afonso Henriques é um estádio de Futebol em Guimarães, Portugal e nele joga o Vitória Sport Clube (Vitória de Guimarães).

A sua inauguração foi a 3 de Janeiro de 1965, num jogo em que o Vitória SC venceu o CF Belenenses por 2-1. Foi remodelado em 2003 para o Euro2004 . Tem capacidade para cerca de 30000 lugares sentados.

Durante o Euro2004 foi palco dos jogos Dinamarca-Itália e Itália-Bulgária. Mais recentemente, foi palco também de dois jogos da fase final do Euro2006 sub-21, Portugal-Alemanha e França-Alemanha.

A sua equipa,o Vitória Sport Clube, embora atravessando uma má fase da sua história, bateu recordes sucessivos de assistências em jogos da Liga de Honra, sendo que o máximo se registou no último jogo da época 2006/2007, o jogo da consagração pelo regresso ao escalão principal do futebol português, frente ao Olhanense, com um total de 29 810 espectadores (Eu sou um dos 29 810 espectadores).
È o quarto estádio com mais assistências na primeira liga Portuguesa, apenas superado pelos estádios do S.L. Benfica, F.C. Porto e Sporting C.P.

Um dos momentos mais marcante na história deste estádio deve-se à morte por paragem cardíaca, em Janeiro de 2004, do antigo avançado húngaro do Sport Lisboa e Benfica Miklós Fehér, num jogo a contar para a Liga Portuguesa.




[EN]Estadio D. Afonso Henriques is a football stadium in Guimaraes, Portugal, and it is the home of the Vitoria Sport Club (Vitoria Guimaraes).

Its inauguration was January 3, 1965, in a game where the Vitoria de Guimarães won the SC CF Belenenses 2-1. It was refurbished in 2003 for the Euro2004. It has capacity for about 30,000 seats.

During the Euro2004 was the scene of the games and Denmark-Italy Italy-Bulgaria. More recently, it was also the scene of two matches of the Euro2006 U21, Portugal-Germany and France-Germany.

His team, the Vitória Sport Clube, while going through a bad phase in its history, set records for number of spectators in consecutive games in the League of Honor, and the maximum was recorded in the last game of the 2006/2007 season, against Olhanense, with a total of 29 810 spectators (I´m one of the 29 810 spectators).
It is the fourth stadium with more number of spectators in the Portuguese premier league.

One of the most known moments in the history of this stadium is the death by cardiac arrest in January 2004, of Miklós Fehér player o S. L. Benfica, in a game counting for the Portuguese League.
