De Bloem - Amsterdam, Netherlands - Windmills on Waymarking.com

De Bloem (of de Blom) is een achtkante stellingmolen gebouwd in 1768. Tot 1878 stond de molen op bolwerk Rijkeroord aan het einde van de Bloemgracht. Hier moest hij echter plaats maken voor de aanleg van de Marnixstraat, zodat hij afgebroken werd en herbouwd op zijn huidige locatie. Functie van de molen was het malen van graan, maar momenteel is hij buiten bedrijf.
