In the 1960s, the Manilow Farmstead was a minor artist's colony with several large pieces constructed on the site. When Manilow Farmstead was turned into Governors State University in the 1970s, eleven of the sculptures were showcased on the new campus.
Over the years, Governors State University has commissioned several more so the collection now totals 26 pieces and are scattered throughout the campus.
The coordinates mark the start of the free, self-guided tour. Maps are under the sculpture garden map. The sculpture garden is available during daylight hours only.
