Montjay is a small isolated village in the valley of Blaisance, south east of Serres in the Pays de Buech. In 1777 a vertical sundial declining about 10° west was pained on one of the larger buildings along the main streer. Atelier Tournesol restored the dial was beautifully in 1986. Their trademark sunflower is now beside the sundial. This is the first of their many excellent restorations. This sundial is one of the oldest in Pays de Buech and an important part of the district's patrimony.

The motto is "Une secrete voixa toute heures nous crie que la terre n'est pas notre heureuse patris". I translate this as "A secret voice cries all the time that this earth is not our final home".
Sundial Type: Vertical - Wall mounted dial plate
