"We Are Here" is located in a small plaza of Ashland, Oregon, where North Main Street and Lithia Way meet. What's really neat about this carving is the way original knots in the tree are integrated into the artwork and what were branches of the tree became arms of the top figure.

A plaque mounted with the sculpture reads:

"We Are Here"
(Eme'tek!iyikikh)

A memorial to the First Nations of the
Rogue Valley created from the
Gateway Alder Tree
by Russell Beebe (Wabashkigamash).

Spiritually dedicated by
Agnes Baker Pilgrim of the Takelma Tribe,
and donated to the people of the Valley
by Lloyd Matthew Haines and Peter G. Hunkele,
Summer 2006
