A marker defining the boundary of a national military park is in the middle of a trail in the woods along Lee Drive at the Fredericksburg Battlefield in the Fredericksburg and Spotsylvania National Military Park.

To the side of the trail stands a bright orange metal witness pole which is clearly marked US BOUNDARY NPS. Note that the pole can also serve as a trip hazard warning for unwary hikers, since the marker is on a stone pillar about 2" above the trail surface and is partially hidden by growth.
