This project removed grazing from along the shores of Lesser Slave Lake allowing native riparian vegetation to begin to re-establish. Without the impact of grazing, ground-nesting birds will begin to return to this location. Canada geese on spring migration were scouting this location on their travels north at the time that it was waymarked.
