Situated in the stone slab in the floor of the aisle of the church of Salford these brasses feature John Peddar from 1505, his wife Alys and their children (six sons and four daughters). The inscription which accompanies the brasses can be found in the stone slab underneath and reads: ‘John Peddar and Alys his wife, which John deceased the 25th day of November in the year of our Lord 1505’ i.e. before the reformation. This text is also displayed on a card by the tomb of the unknown knight.
