The Lake Renwick Heron Rookery is a nesting site for several migratory birds.
One sign ("Name That Bird!") helps you identify which birds you are likely to find during the nesting season (March - Mid-August).
The birds to watch during nesting are the double-crested cormorants, great egrets, cattle egrets, black-crowned night herons, and great blue herons.
A second sign ("A Busy Place") describes the nesting habits of these residents.
A third sign ("How Do You Measure Up") is a life-sized cutout of a Great Blue Heron and measuring board for children to see how much more they have to grow before they are taller than a Great Blue Heron.
