The Lucy Evans Nature Center is the starting point for this boardwalk. This board walk is referred to as the Rail Alley and is one-fifth mile long and about 4 feet wide. It is completely straight and has a couple of alcove rest areas with benches. It crosses above the Harriet Mundy Marsh and takes one to the edge of the San Francisco Bay waters.
