One of the first ghost bikes every placed in Portland. It has been well mainteained since 2005. I suspect the victim was a transient, and that is why there is no name associated with this ghost bike.

This is the result of the research I was able to complete about this ghost bike.

This bike was placed between 09/22/2005 and 10/27/2005, making it one of the first ghost biked ever placed in Portland. The victim was probably killed in 2005 or 2004. In 2007, a call went out for a memorial ride. At that time, the vicitim was not named either, so I suspect that the victim was a transient, and no one knows his name.

However, there are two photos on Flikr, one dated June 21, 2007 and the other dated December 21, 2008. In one of the photos, the front wheel is not painted white. Since the front wheel is white again in 2010, it seems as though someone is taking the time and effort to maintain this bike.
