Gothic Church of Annunciation of Virgin Mary and Fourteen Holy Helpers (Kostel Zvestování Panny Marie a Ctrnácti svatých pomocníku), arose from the older chapel in 1480, is the core structure of the complex of former Franciscan monastery in Kadan.
Thec church is thre aisle Gothic building with a groined vault and the pointed windows. Church's interior furniture is mostly from Baroque era. The high altar is the dominant feature in the church - on the altar are two wonderful statues: St. Francis of Assisi, the founder of the Franciscan order, and St. Anthony of Padua holdings a lily and Infant Jesus in his hands. Highlight of the church are late Gothic and early Renaissance vault and wall frescoes, influenced by artistic school of famous Saxon painter Lucas Cranach the Elder.
