The town of Beebe was founded in 1910 and boasted several businesses during its hayday: Woodman's Hall, Schneider's Cafe, a lumber yard, post office, blacksmith shop, stockyards, cream station, elevator, and grocery store.

All the buildings from the site disappeared by the 1960's. In 1958 the elevator was moved to Ipswich, but has since burned down. In 1959, the store in Beebe was closed and torn down.
