La Romera, a protected area located in the southest flank of Valle de Aburra en the Municipality of Sabaneta, Antioquia. This place is a strategically located between Sabaneta, Caldas and Envigado. With an anrea of 181 hectares and a temperature between 12 and 18C. It.s greates height is "Piedras Blancas" at 2650 meters above sea level. Here are "Guaguas", "Gurres", "Cusumbos", "Guacharacas" and toucans and birds of different colors and trills.
From the rain forest streams water, descend on a bed of small stones, forming succesive crystalline waterfalls. The ascent to the site is guarded by "Novios" and giant ferns, while "Higuerillos" and other tropical forest plants give a slight shadow to the path.
Hillside still retains a variety of native plants in spontaneuos forest, such as "Pategallina", "Sauco de Monte", "Chirigueco", "Encenillo", "carbonero", "Cola de mono", Oak, and "Sietecueros".
