Died June 22, 1888

Aged 13 yrs, 6 mos, 15 dys.

 

Above that it reads

 

Asleep in Jesus,

blessed sleep,

from which none

 ever wakes to

weep.

 

The opposite side reads

 

Erected 

1889

 

Another side holds the inscription

 

A precious one from us has gone,

a voice we loved is stilled;

a place is vacant in our home,

which never can be filled.

 

Opposite to that is written

 

God, in His wisdom, has recalled

the boon his love had given,

and though the body slumbers here,

the soul is safe in heaven.
