We are headed south on 17 when she says why is everyone stopping? Come to find out this guy was guarding a turtle trying to cross the road. They didnt seem to be in a hurry, good since we were in a long line of traffic that continued a long way behind us. There was a small pond down the road where we surmised he was trying to get back and share his day with the fellas.

Describe what happened. Example
"Mother Blanding had made her nest between the goldenrod and bluestem outside my window late last June.
By chance we were sitting on the porch when we noticed little blandings in the same location we had seen the mother take 2 months earlier."
