This caboose is at the western (Highland) entrance to
Walkway Over The Hudson, the repurposed Poughkeepsie railroad bridge which is now a New York State Historic Park.
According to one who knows, it is a Penn Central N5 class; the late 80's - early 90's have it in Highland. It was sold at some point and relocated down Route 9W to Milton, and moved back to Highland as part of the Walkway project.
I am hoping it will remain available for waymarkers and caboose enthusiasts. Rumor has it the state doesn't want to maintain it and it may be moved.
