Whiteoak Falls is one of the most popular hikes in Shenandoah National Park. There are six waterfalls in Whiteoak Canyon.

There are several ways to access the falls, but Whiteoak Canyon Trail is one of the most scenic. It is also suitable for doing a round trip hike between Skyline Drive and the first waterfall. There are two footbridges which cross Whiteoak Run on this section of trail.

The posted coordinates are to the first bridge closest to Skyline Dr. The GPS coordinates to the 2nd bridge are:

N 38° 33.886 W 078° 21.862
When hiking to the falls, you will cross both of them.

Both bridges are of sturdy contruction with iron rails and bolted planks.

The trail descends into a canyon so it is rocky and steep and slippery when wet. You are in beautiful, but rugged country, so common sense and adequate preparation is always strongly recommended.
