In Needham, right in the center of town is Stone Hearth Pizza, a pizza place that is out of the ordinary compared to other pizza places. The web site says that their focus is simple - "to serve the highest quality Neapolitan style, thin crust pizza along with gourmet salads and a hand-picked selection of wine and beer. Our menu is forever evolving, but will always incorporate a healthy blend of premium organic, locally produced, and sustainable ingredients." Also on the web site, is the statement near the top, "At Stone Hearth, 'GF' stands for good food, good friends, good fun, and now Gluten Free (GF)!"
The menu has quite a few items on it that have the 'GF' label. A partial list includes: Poppers (stuffed meatballs); all their salads; pasta diablo; four kinds of thin crust pizza; and their ice cream and gelato. There may be other things that can be substituted - ask the wait staff.
The eating area is a restaurant style layout with somewhere around a dozen small tables. At night the room is dimly lit and decorated in a contemporary style. The kitchen is open, so you can watch the cooking staff make your meal.
There is parking available on the street, but more parking is available in the municipal parking lot to the rear of the building, accessible from Lincoln Street. There is an entrance from that parking lot, as well as from the street.
The restaurant has two other locations: Belmont and Cambridge.
