This tree came to the Morton Arboretum as a seed from the Arnold Arboretum of Harvard University in 1929.
To visit this and other waymarks found at the Morton Arboretum, visitors must pay an
admission fee at the gate. A larger parking area (P1) is available near the main entrance and visitors can make the short hike around the outside of the Children's Garden. However, there is closer parking area (P2) which is substantially smaller, but it is located only a few feet from the waymark. Parking availability at either location is not guaranteed.
