This sign is located on the old Bulletin Building on Wall Street across from the old Post Office

The sign text below indicates that The Bulletin moved to its current location in 1966. That was the location across from Pioneer Park at the time the sign was placed. The Bulletin moved to a new location at 1777 Chandler Ave. in 2000 and has a great display of central Oregon history on display in the lobby.
Marker Name: A5 & B7 - Old Bulletin Building
Marker Text: The Bend Bulletin occupied several buildings over the years, but this building is perhaps the most historically significant since The Bend Bulletin operated from this site from 1940 to 1966. On May 15, 1963, the newspaper changed it’s name to The Bulletin, and moved to its present location in June 1966.
The photograph above was taken in 1910 and pictures the earliest pioneers of The Bend Bulletin, including George Palmer Putnam, second from left. Putnam was a dynamic young Easterner and a scion of the Putnam book publishing family.
Built: 1912
This Heritage Walk plaque was donated by Oregon Color Press.
