Positioned just a few steps from the front door of the Nashua Public Library, this sculpture could almost be confused for two actual children sharing a book on bench. This bronze sculpture, the work of Newton (Massachusetts) artist Lloyd Lillie, was commissioned by the Nashua Public Library and made possible through the generosity of Nashua businessman Leonard Burbank.

The sculpture is popular with young children who visit the library, as the size and the posture of the sculpture's figures draw curious children in, calling them to read along. It would be difficult to find a more appropriate piece for this particular location.
