Exhibiting characteristics of both fluid motion and static balance, this interesting sculpture is located in the grassy plaza between the Nashua Public Library and the Nashua Center for the Arts. The stainless steel sculpture, a creation of artist Obie Simonis, was made possible through funding from Nashua businessman Leonard Freeman Burbank. The piece was commissioned by the Nashua Public Library in 1982, and unveiled in 1984.
Mounted on the top of a tall rectangular frame, a transparent cube mingles with a helix in a unique combination of reflected light and graceful movement - an enjoyable visual experience.
