Iroquois is located on the western edge of Kingsbury County, South Dakota, and is about 20 miles from Huron. SD. US Highway 14 is the main thouroghfare in this small town.
Its population, as of July 2007, was 257, a decrease of about 10% from the 2000 census.
The town was incorporated on August 26, 1887, and is made up of German, Norwegian, Dutch, Irish, and Russian ancestries.
