This boundary can be located next to the River Tavy on the route of the Lych Way, it marks the boundary of the land which belongs to the Ministry of Defence.
This boundary stone shows WD31, refers to the war department and is one of 46 similar stones used to mark out the Willsworthy firing range. They date from when the army purchased its first tract of land, virtually following the line of the old Willsworthy Manor in about 1900.
