Jugiong is located along the picturesque Murrumbidgee River and provides and ideal stopover for the adventurer. It is situated just off the Hume Highway, by road, about 30 kilometres southwest from Bookham and 40 kilometres northeast from Gundagai.
In a small park the Hugh Macmaster memorial windmill is working at pumping water through a fountain. An nearby information board tells the history of this area.
