Marker Text: Built as a recreational and cultural activity center for the community, the club had an auditorium with a fully equipped stage, a hardwood playing floor, and two suspended balconies that seated 350 each. The second floor had a library and a lounge. Located in the east end of the building, the main gymnasium had flood lights and facilities for motion-picture projection. The basement housed a bowling alley, a billiards room and a swimming pool.
