DESCRIBED BY GEORGIA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION 1972 (WRN) THE STATION IS LOCATED 8.2 MILES SOUTHWEST OF WHITE, 10.3 MILES NORTHWEST OF ACWORTH, AND 19.1 MILES SOUTHWEST OF FAIRMOUNT. PERMISSION WAS GRANTED BY J.E. ANDERSON. TO REACH THE STATION FROM THE BARTOW COUNTY COURTHOUSE IN CARTERSVILLE, PROCEED WEST ON WEST CHURCH STREET FOR 0.20 MILE TO JONES STREET, PROCEED NORTH ON JONES STREET FOR 0.38 MILE TO THE STATION ON THE LEFT. THE STATION IS A STANDARD BRASS CAP SET IN A 10 INCH CYLINDRICAL CONCRETE POST FLUSH WITH THE SURFACE OF THE GROUND. THE UNDERGROUND MARK IS A STANDARD DISK SET IN AN IRREGULAR MASS OF CONCRETE 0.79 METER BELOW THE SURFACE OF THE GROUND. THE STATION AND UNDERGROUND MARK ARE STAMPED 008-218. IT IS LOCATED 8.1 FEET SOUTH OF A WITNESS POST, 27.5 FEET WEST OF THE CENTERLINE OF JONES STREET, 22.9 FEET SOUTHWEST OF A POWER POLE, AND 38.5 FEET NORTH OF A CHURCH WALKWAY. NO SUITABLE LOCATION WAS FOUND FOR AN AZIMUTH MARK. THE INTERSECTION STATIONS LISTED ABOVE WILL SERVE FOR AZIMUTH.
