This is one of sixteen covered bridges in this county. The bridge is located on a quiet road with off-road parking available on the west side of the bridge.
The bridge was rebuilt in 1981. A concrete abutment was added in 1987 after the road washed out during flooding by the Grand River.

visit link) shows the condition of the bridge in 1961. Much of the external siding was missing with large portions of the lattice visible.
