The West Ryde Post Office is located on West Parade, near the railway station. It appears to have been constructed in the late 1960s or 1970s, the shop front is made of brick and sandwiched between two local businesses.
Although the area had been occupied since the late 1700s, it was not until the construction of the railway that the area became a local hub. Subdivisions in the early 1900s saw a boom in housing in the area.
