1871 - This church, built from Kauri timber and hand made nails, replaces the first church building which became too small for the congregation. The style of archecture is neo-gothic...built in the shape of a cross. For the first 30 years the only language of worship was Gaelic.
1880 - The wings were added to make more room for the growing congregation.
1900 - Early this century musical instruments were permitted.
1920s - Electricity was connected.
1922 - A new entrance was built, a bell tower added and memorial plaques.
1952 - Lead light windows and two stained glass windows were installed.
1980 - The vestry was rebuilt as the old one was too small.
2002 - Internal renovations took place including new seating and a stained glass window
