DESCRIBED BY MISSISSIPPI STATE HIGHWAY DEPARTMENT 1965 1.75 MI N FROM TUPELO. TO REACH THE MARK FROM THE U. S. POST OFFICE IN TUPELO GO EAST ON MAIN STREET FOR ONE BLOCK TO GREEN STREET, TURN LEFT, NORTH AND GO NORTH AND WEST 1.75 MILES TO THE MARK ON THE RIGHT. THE MARK IS A DISK SET IN THE TOP OF A 12-INCH ROUND, CONCRETE POST. IT IS LOCATED AT THE INTERSECTION OF NORTH GREEN AND NORTH MADISON STREETS, 43 FEET NORTHWEST OF THE CENTER OF THE INTERSECTION, 26 FEET NORTH OF THE CENTER OF NORTH GREEN STREET, 3 FEET NORTHWEST OF A FIRE PLUG, 1.0 FOOT NORTHEAST OF A FENCE CORNER POST, 38 FEET WEST OF A POWER POLE, 2 FEET NORTHWEST OF A METAL WITNESS POST, ABOUT LEVEL WITH THE STREET AND FLUSH WITH THE GROUND.
