This bridge carried the double track Erie RR over the B&O RR. The Erie tracks later became Conrail, who removed one track. Conrail then abandoned the line and sold it to the local Metro Regional Transit Authority. The line is scheduled to become a bike trail within the next five years. The B&O tracks, which later became Chessie System then CSX, have also been sold to Metro Regional Transit Authority. Currently the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic RR operates on the tracks between Cuyahoga Valley National Park and the City of Canton. CSX retains trackage rights for local freight.
