"Pondering Plaque"
In Loving Memory of
Court Donovan Haugen

On March 11, 2009, U. S. Army Pfc. Court D. Huagen was just finishing a 15 month tour in Iraq, on his way back to Fort Lewis, when he died in Germany. He was 23, and his home town was Wenatchee.

Military services were held March 26, and the Governor ordered all flags at government facilities to be flown at half mast.

This big bench (bigger than normal!) has a beautiful, peaceful view of the ponds in the Horan Natural Area. During the summer, you're likely to see many animals here, including turtles, herons, and deer.
