The stockdale mill consists of 3 vertical shaft turbines nestled in the bottom side of the building. Water is diverted from the river to flow down through the turbines which power the flour mills. The mill no longer produces flour for consumption, but is operational. It was known as Roann Roller Mills and operated until 1964.
