Praia de Tabuba (Tabuba Beach), easily accessible by car from Alagoas capital Maceio, is located at the mouth of the Sapucai River. Tabuba seashore is protected by many coral reefs forming pools of clear water where is possible to observe colorful fish and swim. Raft tours to the natural pools depart from this beach. Praia de Tabuba is a quiet, pretty beach with a few bars three km south of Barra de Santo Antônio.
Try one of Praia de Tabuba rustic restaurants - they serve really tasty traditional North-Brazilian meals made from fresh crabs, shrimps, oysters, octopi and fish (carapeba, cumurim and sururu...).
