This village house has a plaque stating the following:

'1764
1916 S.W. 1998'

It is one of a few estate houses in the village. This one has a pale yellow finish and a tiled roof. It stands on the village green near the church. Samuel Whitbread restored the house in 1998 and it is a cottage on the Southill Estate where the Whitbread family live.
