The March Air Force Base memorial is entitled "Operation - Linebacker II, North Vietnam - December 1972". Four MIA's and 5 POW's are named on the memorial. The four MIA's were declared killed in action at the end of the war.

On 15 December 1988 the North Vietnamese returned remains purported to be those of Lt. Col. Gerald Alley and 1st Lt. Joseph Copack without comment. Both men's remains were positively identified on 23 June 1989.
