Corporate Head
This sculpture once sat in the front of Kmart World Headquarters here in Troy. The Smithsonian website still list it in that location. Today (2-10-10) is the 5th year to the day that the re dedication in the new location for this piece.
Information from the SIRIS website is as follows;
Description:
Two half-heads in profile mounted on a vertical reflective slab atop a 12-sided concrete cubic base with clay tile border at entranceway to building. The two half-heads are hollow, with one facing the entrance of the building and the other facing the driveway area. The head facing the entranceway contains a small profile of another head within it.
Dimensions:
Overall: approx. 20 x 8 x 10 ft.
Inscription:
Ayrton Morris Singer Founders London signed Founder's mark appears.
Now since the the relocation there is also a new plaque which reads;

The present splits you down the middle
half of you looking behind, and half ahead
